Handspun scarf off the loom!

And that was fun!
Off the loom it measures 60.5 inches in length and 7.5 in width. I will give it a 10 inch fringe. So I really had very little waste here!

Here it is, off the loom but before being finished with fringe and washing.

And, yes, there’s a bit variation of color on one of the ends. It is the same homespun, just with a different color thing going on!

I had so much fun with this that I am going to weave another handspun scarf, but with a twist. That is, I am going to do some sort of twill. I don’t know what yet but a simple twill.

I do have the cloth for my tunic planned but that’s on hold for now. I like weaving with my handspun!

  1. That is just lovely, and I bet the picture doesn’t really do it justice. Congratulations! Now, can you spin fast enough to keep up with the weaving?!?

  2. Thanks, Peg.
I really do have a lot of fiber to spin! I think right now I have enough handspun for a couple of scarves.
I’m really looking forward to the challenge of the alpaca!
